What?
Designer Joel Yapching’s Spring / Summer 2012 Collection will be featured, inspired by the iconic clothing of Greek fishermen, and the rockabilly aesthetic of the 1950’s. Director Andreas Hager highlights the intimacy of the collection by using elements from Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria, a version of the Odyssey which focuses on the intimate reunion of two separated lovers. Brent Chancellor creates an electronic score that will bring us back to Monteverdi’s time, when opera was the newest form of nightlife. Alison Cheeseman and Nicholas Tamagna take the roles of the Homeric lovers. Artist Julia Colavita designs the sets.
